Chicken & Dumplings Soup
TChicken Dumpling Soup is quintessential comfort food.
It’s just like Grandma used to make and even includes the “drop” dumplings! Simply add water and milk and you have an entree for six in less than 20 minutes!
You will need:
4 cups water
12.5 oz can Chicken
1/3 cup + 1 Tbs. milk
1- In a 2-quart saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Add contents of soup package and lower heat to a simmer. Gently add chicken (broken into pieces) into simmering soup. Simmer, uncovered for 15 minutes.
2- Place contents of dumpling package in a small bowl. Stir in 1/3 cup + 1 Tbs. milk with a fork until dough is just moistened (do not overmix or dumplings will be tough). Spoon dumpling dough by the tablespoon into the simmering soup (should make 8 to 10 dumplings).
3- Cover pot and simmer an additional 10 minutes.
